Excited to start some baby wraps! I am measuring out the warps today and will dye them later. I will post the finished dyed yarn when I have it drying in the front porch of the cabin. Can't wait to share it all!!!

This is the inside of my studio. Right now it is a mess. These pictures were taken on a day when I was not crazy busy getting ready for a big show. I am leaving February 18 to head to Baltimore for the American Craft Council Show. Last month I was in Philadelphia for the Buyers Market of American Made Show. These are tough shows to be ready for - everything needs to be just right - the ACC show is a wholesale/retail show, so I am getting a lot of weaving ready to take to sell.

It has been a loooonnnnnggggg time since I have blogged, so I thought I should get going again. I also use Facebook and now Instagram to post quick pictures with captions. I will try to get back to blogging every couple days to share what is on the loom or in the dye pots. Actually dyed today, but the studio is a real mess and you would not want to see all of that!

I will have to work the gallery - Artists At Work in Elkins, WV tomorrow. come on down and buy a scarf or pottery by Rick Clark or something that suits your fancy!

This past weekend I was set up at Tamarack in Beckley WV where I am a juried artisan. It was so great to see so many people and to share my work there. I will be back in November to set up and sell many more pieces than are usually available on the floor at Tamarack.

While I don't like pictures of myself, here is a neat picture (photo credit Dave Savage: Augusta Heritage Center of Davis and Elkins College) of me talking to folks about the student work completed in my class, Dyeing To Weave, Week 4 of the Augusta Heritage Traditional Arts Program. What a great week! All of the students got two pieces dyed and woven in one week! Check out the Augusta Heritage Program of Davis and Elkins College. Hoping to offer even more next summer. This is from the student showcase held toward the end of the week.

I am building a collection of hand towels. I have been dyeing 12 yards of cotton, and weaving them in cotton. Each one is different from the next in design, but colors stay the same within one warp. It is nice to have them look similar, but look unique - the signature of my work. I have purples, salmon, rust/brown, black and sea foam blue and will be adding more colors in the next couple of weeks.

18" x 22" machine wash and dry.

Here is a picture of my booth from Mountain State Art and Craft Fair held over July 5-7. It was a tricky event as throughout WV most folks were still without power from the storm that hit not a week before. Everyone said the crowds were not as good as in years past. I LOVED the event. The people were warm and inviting. SO many interested in seeing weaving demonstrated. Next year will be the 50th year for the fair which will start on July 4. this is in Ripley, WV.

I am very excited about this commission piece I did today. I love the deep saturated colors! I will have more later this week in this colorway. 7 inches wide x 60 inches long.
